Premise
AU News 274 strives to present accurate news based on all available information at the time of reporting. We are dedicated to being responsive and transparent in correcting errors as soon as they come to our attention. In cases of significant mistakes, we will publicly apologize to our readers in a timely manner.
Updating a Report
- We make it a practice to add notes on articles when significant updates or corrections are made. This includes using corrections, clarifications, or editor’s notes to inform readers about changes or to include comments from relevant stakeholders.
- If an error occurs, we will update the article accordingly and indicate the correction at the top of the article in bold, stating “[Correction: updated info…]” along with an explanation of the correction made.
- We encourage our community members to report inaccuracies by emailing us at aunews274@gmail.com. Additionally, at the bottom of every article, readers will find an option to suggest corrections.
Types of Corrections
- Corrections:
When we substantively correct an article, photo caption, headline, graphic, video, or other material, we will publish a correction explaining the need for the change. - Clarifications:
If the language used in our reporting is not as clear or detailed as it should be, we will rewrite the language and add clarification. This is also applicable if we initially failed to seek a comment that has since been added. - Editor’s Notes:
For corrections that raise significant ethical issues or question the entire substance of an article, an editor’s note may be added, followed by an explanation of the matter at hand. This requires approval from a senior editor.

If you believe a story we’ve published is inaccurate, please contact our editorial team via the “Suggest A Correction” section at the end of each article or email us at aunews274@gmail.com. We value your input and appreciate your help in maintaining our commitment to accuracy.

If a subject claims that a story is inaccurate, we will investigate the claim and, if necessary, publish a correction. We do not remove articles as if they had never been published, but we will consider further editorial action if warranted. For publicly available personal data, we will only review take-down requests if there is a credible threat of physical harm due to the existence of such material.
